Hockey Character Designs

Hello sketch blog!  I took a hiatus from the internet the past month to focus on art and put my nose to the grindstone.  That means I have quite a backlog of sketches of post.  I'll start catching up with these two:

These are characters from the hockey comic I'm currently working on.  The top image is the protagonist in various aspects of her goalie gear.  The bottom image is her best friend, a speedster with soft hands.*

*In hockey terminology "soft hands" doesn't mean you have lovely skin and cuticles.  It means you have a knack for controlling the puck.
